From late 2020 through mid-2022, Krishnaa Foundation provided about 250 sex-workers in Kalighat and their families a monthly supply of food rations and other necessities for basic health.
This was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the sex-workers and their children were literally starving. At times when fuel was scarce, cooked food was also provided.
